The right blogging tool

I love the minimal and simple look and feel of Bear Blog. When it comes to more “advanced publishing”, I like the Ghost platform.

They’re tools, but they are also a joy to use – both visually and from a usability aspect. Even after writing and publishing, I can stick around just for the beauty of it.

When I use WordPress, I just want to get things done and get out of there. It’s too bloated and…hmm…ugly.

This is my personal preference, of course. Some will argue it’s the other way around, and their view is as true as mine.

What I’m trying to say is that the feeling we get from using a tool will affect the outcome.

If you are a creative person, you will likely feel the need (or at least the wish) to have an environment that appeals to your view on beauty – whatever that may be.

That view can be difficult to pinpoint. Often it’s more of a feeling — joy, contentment, satisfaction…

When struggling with getting an outlet for our creativity, it’s worth taking a step back and asking ourselves:

Is this the right tool for me?
