Keep the creative fire burning

I'm not in the mood to write, but I'm going to continue to stick to the write every day principle:

Something written is better than nothing.

Imagine if we only did things when it felt fun and exciting. How much would get done? Paying taxes, repainting the house, changing tires, going to the dentist...

"I’ll wait until it feels fun".

Even the things we are passionate about are not always fun. It's important to remind ourselves of this. It's so easy to think that it should ALWAYS feel fun because, 9 times out of 10, it does.

When we have this attitude, we run the risk of fooling ourselves eventually. We start to think we're bored with what used to be our passion. It becomes a vicious downward spiral where eventually nothing feels truly satisfying and rewarding.

Whatever you are passionate about, keep that flame alive. Don't let a heavy sigh blow out what you love to breathe life into. A little fighting spirit is all it takes to keep the creative fire burning.
