From Fear to Freedom

Today I experienced a great example of seeing the bigger picture.

I revisited a client where I had conducted a home inspection four years ago. It was during the period when my life was a living hell. Back then, I ended up returning the next day, on a Saturday, because I was so anxious that I might have missed something - which of course I hadn't (welcome to the world of GAD).

During today's visit, everything went smoothly and joyfully. When I was finished, my focus was on the next visit instead of dwelling on what had already happened, unlike before.

I usually try to remember such successful follow-up visits, whether they are related to work or personal life. It serves as a reminder that something that feels like the end of the world at the moment can actually improve over time. The next time a difficult situation arises, I can reconnect with that healing perspective.

I take a step back to get closer to reality.
