I’ve started working on version 3.0 of my Bearming theme for Bear Blog. I’ve learned so much along the way while building it. With that in mind, I’ve decided to include a lot of comments to help anyone who wants to pick up a bit of CSS. I’m really looking forward to bringing it to life soon…

I finally released Bearly today 🥳 It’s been such a fun and rewarding journey. I’m honestly a bit proud, even if you’re not really “supposed to” say that here in Sweden, of how it turned out. I’ll probably write a longer post soon about the process and all the little things I learned along the way.

I thought I’d have my new Bear theme ready to ship today, but it’ll have to wait a bit longer. No rush, I want to get it “right”. Just read on SVT, Sweden’s public service news outlet, that our neighbors in Denmark will set a minimum age of 15 for social media. Kids 13+ can use it with parents’ permission. PM Mette Frederiksen says it’s about giving childhood back — “phones and social media are stealing it.” Sign of the times.

I love that Robb Knight shared a photo of his workspace in his P&B interview, and I absolutely love how it looks 😍 If there’s one thing the indie web could get better at, it’s sharing photos in posts every now and then. It’s such a nice little treat.

Home sick, but my new Bear theme is getting better. I already have a name for it, though with my obsession for details, it probably should’ve been called OCD. 😅

Working on a new theme for Bear Blog. The more I think about it, the more I lean toward making it the Bearming 3.0 version. It’ll be quite different from the earlier ones, but I suppose that’s the whole point of a new version number.

Nice to see the Bear Discovery feed all dressed up for Halloween. Looking delightfully spooky!

Here’s a fun little Halloween hack for your blog: rename your guestbook to Ghostbook 👻
