It was just a year ago since I was last in Chiang Mai, and I’ve already spotted some new cool street art I hadn’t seen before. This one’s from yesterday.

You know you’re a design geek when a license plate like this gives you cozy feelings. I spent the rest of the trip trying to figure out the paint hex value. It looked like a solid #232a3c to me.
Day two of the Micro.blog 12 days of winter wonder photo challenge. Today’s word: cozy.
I met this lovely bundle of cuteness while doing a house inspection. One of the great benefits of this line of work is that you get to meet a lot of wonderful pets.
I’m taking part in Micro.blog’s lovely 12 days of winter wonder photo challenge. Today’s word is frost, and this shot is from the south of Stockholm, back in 2023… since frost is nowhere to be seen in this part of Sweden right now, even though we’re neighbors with Santa.
Spotted this handsome gentleman and asked if I could snap a photo. I’m always a bit hesitant to ask when I’m in Sweden, compared to when I’m traveling. Not so much because Swedes are reserved. I guess it just feels a bit too close to home somehow.
Went out for lunch, ended up at a Slipknot concert. 🎃
Now you can get the classic Swedish dammsugare (vacuum cleaner) pastry in Halloween mode. Marzipan, chocolate-dipped ends, and a punsch-flavored mix of biscuits, butter, and cocoa. 😋
Went to a photo booth to get my picture taken for my driver’s license renewal. Someone had left their photos behind, like a scene from Amélie. 📸
A good example of how much we love to fika here in Sweden. My favorite café is now selling cinnamon bun beanies.
My brother (yes, I’ve told him to move to Micro.blog) has been using AI to colorize old photos. I think the results are great. He keeps the original black and white as the “real photo” and the AI version as a fun extra. It’s him and me in the shot, somewhere in the 70s.
I spotted a demonstration outside the café window today. Ran out and snapped this shot.
Time for some transcenDental meditation. Getting to the root of things, one tooth at a time. Drilling deep into my thoughts, finding that inner wisdom tooth. Ommm… my gums! 🧘🦷
I was greeted by an explosion of autumn colors at one of my jobs today. 🍁
The lussebulle arrived early this year. A soft saffron bun baked for Lucia Day in December here in Sweden. Sweet, golden, and yuuuuummy 😋
I just noticed that IMDb has random 404 pages with messages inspired by movie quotes. This one’s my favorite so far 😅
Huddinge, Sweden — boats laid to rest, adding their colors to the autumn canvas, as if painted there by Mother Nature herself.
Ingarö, Sweden — same spot as the video from earlier. Just experimenting a bit with a new photo thingy.
I received my “IndieWeb is Punk” stickers today. Jim Mitchell kindly sent them for free, since I was part of the inspiration behind this cool creation. Want to know the background story? Check out my post Re: IndieWeb is Punk.
Huddinge, Sweden — on my way to the next client, I stopped for a short break to enjoy the beautiful early autumn atmosphere. Moments like these remind me why I never want to go back to an office job again.
Saltsjöbaden, Sweden — mirror morning, with autumn colors slowly making their entrance. I love this time of year! 😍
If you ever visit my hometown, Stockholm, I highly recommend taking the retro tram. There’s even a “fika edition” (of course) where you can enjoy a good cup of coffee while watching the city life roll by outside the window.
Värmdö, Sweden — I stopped for a coffee between jobs and had this foggy fairytale view from my table. Sometimes the surroundings wake you up even more than the caffeine in the cup. Such a wonderful way to recharge.
Skarpnäck, Sweden — this is the picture many people have of my home country, Sweden. And to be honest, it’s not far from the truth. You’ll find plenty of houses like this, especially out in the countryside or scattered around the archipelago.
Stockholm, Sweden — I was greeted by a mighty sky on my bike ride to work this morning. One that makes you slow down to take it in — and take a photo. A nice way to start the week.
Bro, Sweden — surf’s up. 🏄♂️
Stockholm, Sweden — this tiny piece of street art made me stop and think. I guess it did its job.
