Today I had the first job in the archipelago. Summer is getting closer and closer… 🌞

A sailboat is docked near a calm body of water surrounded by lush trees and a clear blue sky.

Luckily, this one wasn’t on my house inspection schedule today.

Found this hidden trail that never seemed to end during my coffee break today. You never know what you’ll find when you keep your eyes open.

A wooden path winds through a tranquil marshland scene under a textured, cloudy sky, surrounded by trees and tall grasses.

Trying on my new individually adapted face mask for work, as required by the new rules from the Swedish Work Environment Authority.

A person wearing a respirator mask and a dark jacket is depicted in a black-and-white photograph.

Just got myself this year’s Majblomma pin. Every spring in Sweden, kids go around selling them. New design each year. The money goes to children in need and it’s been a tradition since 1907. Simple idea. Beautiful tradition. 🌸

A pin shaped like a pink flower with blue edges is displayed above Swedish text that reads För en barndom fri från fattigdom.

A Saturday evening in Stockholm so quiet that it looks like someone went all-in with an eraser tool.

A modern, well-lit urban structure with stairs provides access to an underground subway station in a cityscape at night.

Stumbled upon this cool little fisherman’s cabin at work.

A rustic, cluttered cabin interior features wooden furniture, a desk with an old sewing machine, and various hanging items.

I’m going through the photos from my latest trip and found this one. There’s something apocalyptic about it, like the past is sending us a message about what future awaits if we don’t sort things out.

A whimsical outdoor scene features a colorful, large statue of a girl with an eye patch and a playful, miniature house shaped like a car beneath a tree.

This statue by Swedish artist Mats Wikström made me stop while walking by the water in Nacka today. The title, translated into English, is “Long live the fight for a reasonably free Norrland.”

A sculpture of a man holding an object stands atop a large tree stump in a natural setting under a cloudy sky.

I spotted this cool record store while I was at work today. I love that there are still places like this around. Sometimes the perseverance of the past gives hope for the future.

Bromma Records features a brick storefront with a red sign, a large window displaying album covers, and a door adorned with various stickers.
