Home 🏠
I grew up in a small town called Åkersberga, about 30 kilometers (19 miles) outside of Stockholm. A beautiful place! I still have family living there, so I visit my old neighborhood at least once a month. Always a great feeling!
My current apartment is in the Östermalm district of Stockholm. It's the posh part of town and is described as "one of Sweden's most exclusive districts". Believe me, my life is far from fancy - my apartment is a 25 m2 (270 ft²) rental. But I like it.
Work 💼
I was trained as a bricklayer, which I did for about ten years. After that, I've had several different jobs...

These days I work as a home inspector. I visit several homes every day and give the owners good advice to prevent water damage, fire and burglary. I love it! It gives me a chance to visit a lot of places and meet a lot of people that I would never have experienced otherwise.
Web 👨💻
I was first introduced to the web in the 90's during a course organized by the Swedish Public Employment Service. It was all very basic - create a document, send an email, find something on the Internet.
On the last day the teacher said:
Today I’m going to let you create a web page.
We did it in a text file, some basic text formatting wrapped around HTML tags. Then opening the page in the browser…
I was blown away! 🤩
A few snippets that turned gibberish into a "nice" page. It felt like magic...and it still does. The experience led to several of the jobs I had after that.
Today, I'm lucky to have web publishing as one of my interests rather than a full-time job.
