The mysterious stranger

I always meet the same person when I’m on my bike on my way home from work. He’s noticeable. Head in the clouds, talking to himself.

It always makes me wonder who this stranger is. What’s his story? What is he talking about? Where is he going?

Today, life served up a weird coincidence. In my earbuds a suggested track that wasn’t in my library started playing just as our paths crossed. “Talk Talk” by the band Talk Talk.

True. Weird.

Now I was thinking about both the mysterious talking stranger and the strange mystery of the Talk Talk track. Then it hit me. I realized who this stranger is…

It’s me.

I do exactly the same thing. The only difference is that my chatter stays in my head instead of out loud. My head is just as much in the clouds as his.
