Guided by the Sandman

Yesterday evening I felt so, so tired. I fell asleep earlier than usual and slept for almost nine hours.

And I know why: the relief of not having too many balls in the air. When the juggling stops, so does the restlessness.

It’s not the first time I’ve noticed this. Every time I let go of something that feels a bit too heavy, or simply unnecessary, my whole body seems to respond. The sleep comes easier, deeper, longer.

I take it as a sign that I’ve made the right decision. A compass that doesn’t bother with logic or lists, only a quiet reassurance:

“This is the way.”
