Finished reading: New Thinking by Dagogo Altraide 📚
An interesting read! It’s cool to see how much of today’s technology exists thanks to really old inventions. But the book was also a bit of a sad reminder of how often war and the military have driven innovation throughout history.
Finished reading: The Executioner by Chris Carter 📚
Yep, he’s done it again! Without a doubt the best series I’ve come across in the genre. Not for the faint-hearted, that’s for sure — but if you’re into dark crime, you’re gonna love this series.
Finished reading: Creativity, Inc. (The Expanded Edition) by Ed Catmull 📚
A great read! Packed with inspiring thoughts on creative work and plenty of fun Pixar trivia. Plus, some fascinating, more personal stories about Steve Jobs.
No likes, no stats, no problem
I really appreciate the new features available on this fresh little blog home of mine. I like how easy it is to create photo albums and track books. And I love that I can publish blog posts straight from my favorite text editor (iA Writer).
I also appreciate not having some of the usual features.
For instance, there’s no built-in analytics by default. Sure, you can use a third-party tool if you want to, but I’ve chosen not to.

After the blogging honeymoon
With this new home for my blog, I’m still on the limited Micro.one $1/month plan. It’s a surprisingly generous setup, with neat features like book tracking and photo collections.
Coming from Bear Blog — a wonderful platform in its own minimalistic “bear necessities” kind of way — this feels like a whole new world. Honestly, it’s a bit overwhelming, and very easy to get carried away.
That’s exactly what I think has happened to me lately.

An honest, interesting, and at times deeply unsettling read. It paints a raw and personal picture of one of the many terrible aftereffects war can leave behind — and the road back to recovery.
Finished reading: Studie i mänskligt beteende by Lena Andersson 📚
I really like her books! She has a fantastic ability to capture people’s quirks in a way that’s both hilarious and touching.
