The two-blog setup still feels good. This for short posts and robertbirming.com for longer. Not sure how I’ll connect them, but for now here’s a summary of what I’ve posted this week:
Posts in "Notes"
Watched: The Long Walk 🍿
Let’s just say you can expect body fluids. A lot of them. All sorts.
I’ve been thinking about (no surprise there) what to call follow-up posts from other bloggers. Eventually, I decided on “Reader’s reflections” and added a bit of style to reflect (no pun intended) that choice of word. Here’s a look. ✍️
I asked ChatGPT to create a script that sorts posts on my Bear blog by year. This was the result on the first attempt — I’m amazed 🤩 I’ll need to work on the styling, but still, very impressive! ✍️
Watched: Monster: The Ed Gein Story 📺
Not my favorite season, but still worth watching. I liked the way they tied in the movies and shows he inspired — a clever twist on a dark story.
Saltsjöbaden, Sweden — mirror morning, with autumn colors slowly making their entrance. I love this time of year! 😍
I figured it was time to give my new theme a proper name and description ✍️
Theme Name: Project Over-Engineered
Description: Just tidying up. Forever.
Version: It.Works.On.My.Machine
License: Nah
Watched: Bo Burnham: Inside 🍿
I decided to rewatch it with some Covid distance (no pun intended), and my rating remains unchanged: 10/10. Genius! A great example of just being yourself.
If you ever visit my hometown, Stockholm, I highly recommend taking the retro tram. There’s even a “fika edition” (of course) where you can enjoy a good cup of coffee while watching the city life roll by outside the window.
I’ve been working on the design for my “new” Bear blog over at robertbirming.com. There’s still a lot I want to do, but it’s getting there. To be honest, I’ve really missed the styling part of Bear (and other things too, for that matter). It’s just so… easy. ✍️
