The Swedish band Kite is one of my absolute favorite discoveries in recent years. I love both their sound and their lyrics, and I often recognize myself in their words. That sense of recognition is usually what connects me to a song or an artist.

I was in my teens when this song came out. I’d just started playing the drums and thought the drumming on this track was so cool (still do). Later, when I saw them crash a playback performance on German TV, I knew they were the coolest band in the world.
