(A)I Have a Podcast
As some of you readers know, I've always been a real tech geek. So it’s no surprise that I became curious when I read an AI-related news article yesterday.
The news was about NotebookLM, an experiment from Google, which had launched the feature Audio Overview. Google describes the feature as "a new way to turn your documents into engaging audio discussions."
Of course, I wanted to try it!
I took my text from yesterday, Prioritized Writing, and created a PDF of the content (which, by the way, is extra convenient if you use the Bearming theme). Then I uploaded the file and waited...
Shortly thereafter, a finished "podcast episode" popped up. I was unexpectedly impressed with the result! Sure, it's fake and lacks a personal touch, but still.
As a fun little experiment, I decided to create a podcast, which I've chosen to call Robot Birming. It's clearly stated in the channel description and episode information that it's AI-generated content, and that the project isn't intended to be anything serious.
Will I create an AI audio version for every blog post? Probably not, but it's always fun to play around and try new things. As a painting at one of this week's clients said:
Don't grow up, it's a trap.
